Biography

Andrew Ahumada was born in 1984 in Anchorage Alaska. He has been working in the arts on many levels for over ten years. Throughout his career he has dabbled in many mediums such as drawing, set design, painting, interior design, but has always found sculpture to be his passion. One of the most distinctive aspects of his work is the way he utilizes and combines materials and construction methods in new and innovative ways. The juxtaposition of the synthetic with the organic, and of the raw and refined, is also characteristic of his work and displays a lucid reverence for the old as well as the new.
